Now, here's what they're gonna look like installed, and this is going to be a great pretty easy upgrade to install that's gonna give you a lot better suspension because of the ability to have a little bit more travel, and that just means a better towing experience overall. Now our previous equalizer here, you can see that it does have rubber, and that's gonna allow this to kind of move up and down and have that cushion. These are pretty loose here, which is fine. It does have that movement, and it needs to remember about I'd say an inch and a half. more

Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit Installation - 5th Wheel- Video
Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install, the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust trailer brakes. These are going to be an electric trailer brake to replace your drum brakes that are on your trailer. It's gonna be a direct factory replacement. It's a 12 inch brake assembly, so you'll have to have a 12 inch drum if you plan on using your old drums. I do highly recommend taking a look at your drums once you get them removed. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizer on 2018 Keystone Outback Toy Hauler. Now your standard equalizer is just kind of a metal piece that transfers from the shackles on your leaf springs. So as one kind of goes up it'll kind of even it out and keep it equal. Well, what if you could add a little bit of cushion here to just soften up a little bit of blow And that's what the AllTreks gonna do. It is gonna allow for 4 inches of suspension travel. You have this rubber here that's 40% more than a typical equalizer that has rubber and it also has some nice brass sleeves here for our new wet bolts. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the D-MAX Disc Brakes for 7,000 pound axles with 13 inch rotors on a 2020 Keystone Montana. Now what kind of sets these apart is definitely gonna be the rotor design and you're gonna notice right away we have these holes here on our hat of the rotor. And what makes that a little bit more unique than your typical one is not only is it gonna cool because that heat is gonna be able to kind of dissipate through those holes, but also it's really important for anyone that does any marine usage of their trailer or even driving an inclement weather where water kind of gets caught in the backside of this. And the problem with other rotors is that water just kind of spins around and as you park, it's gonna sit at the bottom and if you park your trailer for a while that's gonna eat away at that rotor and this actually allows it for it to drain out. Another great part about this is when they're able to put the coating on the rotor, it gets nice and uniform, there's no drip marks, so again you get a little bit more uniformity and overall better quality. Now what also sets these apart and really comes down to being heavy duty is gonna be a robust caliper design. more

Hey neighbors. It's Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the hydro star electric over hydraulic actuator for disc brakes on a 2020 Keystone Montana. Now the actuator is really the meat and potatoes of a disc brake conversion. So if you're going from your drums to disk, you do need to have hydraulics to be able to have those pistons compressed. And that's what your actuator does. It's simply just a pump that has your brake fluid in it. more

Hi, John with etrailer. If you have a Tandem Maxwell Camper fifth-wheel Gooseneck and you're looking for a more comfortable ride, this is gonna be the video for you today. Today we have a 2005 Keystone Montana and we're gonna be installing and taking a look at MORryde SRE4000 suspension upgrade kit with crossmember. So let's take a closer look at the MORryde system here. This is mounted on our camper right now, though this does have the additional upgraded hardware kit and this is something I recommend as well because with this kit you're gonna get a heavier duty shackle, these shackles are half inches thick as opposed to the stock quarter inch thick plate. Also, there's no grease fittings on these. more

Hey guys, it's Kevin here with etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Furrion Vision S Camera System with side marker cameras here on our 2018 Keystone Cougar Half-Ton Fifth Wheel. This monitor right here is our seven inch monitor. There are the 4.3 and the five inch monitors, which can also come with those side marker cameras. The only issue is that the smaller one isn't going to be able to hold as many cameras. So realistically, you're kind of just stuck with the five inch or the seven inch whenever you're trying to add in those side marker cameras. Now, if you have a larger dash, maybe you're putting this in a motor home, then it definitely is better to go with the larger screen. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the SoftStartRV Soft Start for 2 AC setup here on our 2021 Keystone Raptor Fifth Wheel Toy Hauler. As many of you already know, when your AC starts up, it has a huge wattage draw. And what that can do is whenever you're at a campsite and there's a bunch of other people that are all having their AC kick on at the same time, it can kind of overload the campground's electrical systems and then you can have stuff start to dim in your camper. Maybe your AC doesn't wanna fully kick on. It can actually end up damaging your AC, messing up your compressor and it's gonna cause a whole bunch of racket because your AC's really trying to work hard and it's just not getting the energy that it needs. So that's where these Soft Starts come into play, because what they're gonna do is they're gonna store energy in them so that you don't have to solely rely on that shore power to start your AC. more

Curt Adjustable Width RV Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Keystone Hideout Travel Trailer- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here, at etrailer, and today I'll be showing you how to install, the Curt, adjustable trailer hitch receiver. Here on our 2016 Keystone Hideout travel trailer. So, one of the most important steps in choosing the correct, adjustable trailer hitch receiver for your trailer, is to measure from one frame beam over to the next one. And you're gonna wanna measure from the inside to the inside if you have an I-beam trailer. So with ours today if I measure across, I'm gonna end up getting, roughly, 68 and a half inches, from the inner beam to inner beam. So I can go ahead, and I can take that and go back to our fit guide, and find the correct size adjustable trailer hitch. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Optronics low profile LED combination taillight for the driver's side here on our 2021 Keystone Raptor fifth wheel toy hauler. So, both your driver's side and your passenger side are gonna come with a multitude of functions. As you can see in the center here, it's gonna have a reflector as well as on the side. So it's gonna have these side reflectors as well, that way you don't have to purchase additional reflective tape or other reflectors and try and screw those into your trailer. There's also gonna be a side marker light and it's going to have your stop or brake signal as well as just your running lights and then also your left and right turn signal. On the driver's side, it's actually also going to come with a little light on the bottom and that's for your license plate. more

Hi there, Keystone owners. Today on your 2016 Keystone Hideout we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the MaxxFan Deluxe. And this is what our MaxxFan looks like when it's installed. Compared to the previous fan that was here, this one's gonna give you a much more usable fan that's gonna work in various weather conditions. The traditional style vent fans that you have, they do have a cover that opens up, so you can draw in fresh air but once that cover is open, moisture and, depending on where you're at, maybe even dirt and debris, if you're in like a dusty, more deserty area, can potentially get inside and then you now got moisture inside of areas where you don't want, potentially damaging components. Or if it's that dusty area, now you got a bunch of dirt and debris that's now getting inside of your motor home coating things that you don't like. more

Hey, guys. Kevin here with etrailer. And today, we'll be showing you how to install the MORryde shock-absorbing equalizers for tandem axle trailers with a 35-inch wheelbase here on our 2009 Keystone Montana Mountaineer fifth wheel trailer. So if you drive your travel trailer or fifth wheel or even just your regular utility or dump trailer through any kinda rough terrain, or maybe you just have terrible roads where you live, they're real bumpy, maybe there's a lot of potholes, and you're just tired of feeling all of that road shock, all that chucking from your trailer as you're going down that road, the best way to first solve that is going to be upgrading your equalizer to one that actually has a rubber dampener in there. That's going to help kinda mitigate all that bouncing you have and all that road shock from those potholes and also upgrading your shackle kit and your bolts up to wet bolts, which can be lubricated. So with our wheels off, you can see what the equalizer is going to look like. more

Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today I'm gonna be showing you how to install these Strongberg Carlson RV exterior ladder with hinges here on our 2022 Keystone Passport SL series travel-trailer. The Strongberg Carlson RV exterior ladder is going to be a great option for you if you're needing to get up on the roof of your trailer to do any cleaning, maintenance or maybe you have to replace a vent or vent lid, it's going to make it a whole a lot easier, especially if you're out camping and you need to get up there to kind of clean off, maybe you have a bunch of leaves up there, maybe some debris from a tree that you need to clean off, instead of having a haul ladder with you which is gonna take up a ton of space. You already have your exterior ladder here. Our ladder is made of a lightweight and rustproof aluminum construction. It comes in two colors, just your standard aluminum or your black, which is gonna really help match the aesthetics of your trailer, especially with ours today, it's gray with all black trim so it really makes it stand out and look nice. It has a 250 pound weight rating and it also has these little threads on the steps that are gonna help keep you from slipping off when you're trying to climb up your ladder whenever it's wet. more

Dometic Part-Timer RV Toilet Installation - 2016 Keystone Hideout Travel Trailer- Video
Hey, guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today, I'm gonna be showing you how to install the Dometic 310 Part-Timer RV Toilet here on our 2016 Keystone Hideout Travel Trailer. So as far as installation difficulty goes, this is a very simple swap. You're really just pulling off two nuts, pulling off your toilet, putting your new one on and replacing the nuts on there. The only thing you could run into an issue on is just if your supply line for your water isn't long enough or maybe it's a hard plastic pipe and you can't really get it on and you have to go and get yourself a hose to run from the supply line up to your toilet, which, if that is the case, you can easily get from your local hardware store. Just make sure that you pick up one that says it's for a sink because RV manufacturers don't actually use the toilet size fittings, they use the sink size fittings. So when you're trying to determine the correct toilet for your camper, there's a few things that you're gonna wanna look at. more

Now, if we look here at the Reese logo, you'll notice that there's an opening here. And this is where you can see this lower portion that's right down here. Hey, guys. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Mount-n-Lock HiLoHitch for 4" RV bumpers here on our 2017 Keystone Hideout. So the Mount-n-Lock HiLoHitch is going to be an excellent option for any trailer or RV with a 4" x 4" standard bumper. This is an industry standard size. So it would be good to go ahead and measure. But chances are, if you have the square bumper on the back of your RV, it's going to be this 4" x 4".Basically what this does is it's going to give us a connection point for a 2" hitch-mounted accessory, such as a bike rack that you see here, or a cargo carrier. more

Roadmaster Comfort Ride Suspension Installation - 2019 Keystone Raptor 5W Toy Hauler- Video
Hi there Keystone owners. Taking your 2019 Keystone Raptor, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmasters Comfort Ride suspension system.This triple axle kit is designed to improve the ride quality of your trailer over your factory equalizers by installing a brand new slipper component, which will allow your leaf springs to have free travel inside the assembly. Your traditional assemblies have equalizers and when one axle moves, that leaf spring is connected to the equalizer directly to the leaf spring on the axle behind it, and so forth. With those being connected together, loads are transferred from one to the other, and that causes a lot of oscillations inside your trailer, causes a lot of vibrations and up and down momentum, and that's what causes your cabinets to open up, your dishes to fall out, and a lot of things like that. By adding these on it's going to greatly improve the ride quality of your trailer, which is going to save all your gear that's inside, because you're no longer going to be transferring all those road forces up into the frame and your devices inside.Your trailer's not the only thing that's going to benefit from this. You're also going to notice it when hauling, when driving your truck, because with a shock absorber system and the slipper springs, we're not going to have as much sway as we did before, and that's just going to give us overall more control in the truck, so it's not going to feel like we're hauling such a beast behind us.This is what our system is going to look like when it's installed. more

Today I have a 2014 Keystone Passport Ultra Lite Grand Touring Travel trailer, and I'm going to walk through how to install the Fastway e2 weight distribution setup.What are some of the reasons why we would want weight distribution One, when we load our trailer on our vehicle, it drops the back of the vehicle and raises the front of the vehicle. That can put a lot of unnecessary stress, back axle. Front end, it raises our headlights, tire wear, it messes with our steering, messes with our braking. It takes the nose of the trailer and it dips it down, which means, on a dual axle trailer, it's picking up the back axle so that you're getting most of your weight put on the front one. more

Hi there, Keystone owners. Today, on your 2019 Keystone Montana, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install HydraStar's electric over hydraulic brake actuator and line kit. Along with that, we're going to be using Kodiak's disc brake kit.And this is what our actuator looks like when it's installed. Our hydraulic actuator is going to provide up to 1600 PSI of hydraulic fluid to our brakes at the back, which is optimal for our disc brake system, which requires higher pressure than a drum brake system would. With this kit, we do get everything we need to convert our trailer over from electric brakes to hydraulic brakes. Because in addition to having our actuator here, we also get our brake line kit, which is designed for a tandem axle setup. more

Hi there, fifth wheel owners. Today on your 2017 Keystone Montana, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Hydrastar's 1600 PSI brake line and actuator kit. To help us complete this installation, we'll be connecting it to Code DX 00:00:15 13-inch disc brakes at the back.One of the things I did want to mention is that this kit also comes with a new breakaway switch, as well as a breakaway switch battery. Our customer already had one installed and you can see it's a nice new one he just had put on, so we're not going to be replacing that today since it's already new components. But you'll get one included with your kit so you can easily get these installed, it's just a couple of wires, so it's really easy. You can follow along with us though, because we'll be hooking up to the customer's battery, but the process is going to be basically the same.We'll begin our installation by getting our actuator mounted, because we need to know where we're going to have to route all of our lines and our wiring to. more

Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers Installation - 2019 Keystone Montana Fifth Wheel- Video
Hi there Keystone owners. Today in your 2019 Keystone Montana we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's Comfort Ride Shock Absorber system. And this is what our suspension system is going to look like when it's installed. Roadmaster's Comfort Ride system offers shocks, which are independent for each axle on each side. So as your trailer wants to pivot and move up and down, in addition to the suspension system it already has, we're going to get additional dampening from our shocks. This can help minimize sway, because as our trailer wants to roll to one side, the shock is going to compress, but there's force required to compress this shock and that force dampens it. more

Kodiak Disc Brake Kit Installation - 2017 Keystone Montana Fifth Wheel- Video
Hi there fifth wheel owners. Today on your 2017 Keystone Montana we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Kodiak's 13" Disc Brake Kit. To help us with this installation we're also going to be using HydraStar's 1600 PSI Brake Actuator, and HydraStar's Tandem Axle Brake Line Kit. If you need a triple axle kit, HydraStar has those available here at etrailer.com as well.And this is what our disk brake set up looks like when it's installed. You'll get a new disc brake rotor, as well as the calipers fully loaded with the brake pads already installed in them, and the brackets necessary to get that all installed. When installing these, I do highly recommend replacing your bearings as well as the grease seal in the back. more

Today in your 2017 Keystone Montana, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install HydraStar's Tandem Axle Brake Line Kit.To assist us in getting a full disc brake kit set up on this, we're also going to be using Kodiak 's Disc Brake Kit, and HydraStar's 1600 PSI hydraulic brake actuator.We'll begin our line installation by getting our lines run from our actuator to the back. You'll receive multiple lines in this kit, and this is going to be the longest one. So you're going to want to get it uncoiled. And it's going to attach to your actuator here. These are going to allow you to use your vent open at all times, even while you're traveling, which most of the time you can't. Once you're taken off, you don't have a cover, you have to close it because it could break the lid. It's also going to prevent your vent cover or vent lid from cracking over time or having to be replaced over time. more

The lens cover's been damaged. And you know how it can be, you're at your camp site, you're playing some games, and then all of a sudden a ball flies over and it damages something. This is going to be a factory replacement antenna for any Vision S camera from Furrion that is wireless. The antenna is going to be just like your old one. Hi there RVers. Today we're going to be taking a look at Furrion's vision S observation camera with night vision. This camera will make a great replacement or upgrade if you have an existing Furrion system. If you have a damaged camera, you can easily install this one right into the mounting bracket from your old camera. If you don't have one of these cameras, many of your RVs are already pre-wired and you'll likely see something like this on the back of your RV, but instead of the camera being here, you'll just see a flat plate. That means your RV is already prewired for it and you just take that plate off and your new camera will pop right in there. more

Tuson ActuLink Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes Installation- Video
Connor: Hey guys, how's it going Connor here today at etrailer.com. We're going to be taking a look at the Tuson electric over hydraulic actuator for disk brakes here on our Keystone Cougar. So in order to change from electric to surge brakes here on our fifth wheel trailer, we're going to need some mechanism to apply the pressure to both of our disk brake calipers. In order to do that, we're going to be using this actuator here. So this actuator is going to take input from the tow vehicle via the form of an electric signal. And then it's going to actuate the pump, and it's going to apply the pressure to our disc breaking assembly so we can stop and slow down the trailer.So in order to use our electric over hydraulic unit, just like we would for electric brakes, we're going to need a brake controller in the cab of our tow vehicle. more

Today in our 2016, Keystone Sprinter, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Lippert's Ground Control 3.0, 6 Point Leveling System, and while we are putting this on a '16 Sprinter, the installation is going to be the same regardless of your fifth wheel trailer. You just need to make sure that you have the appropriate clearances to get the components mounted. This is going to vary from trailer to trailer, and the options that you have on those particular model of trailers are also going to affect whether or not it's going to install and how you're going to install it.We're going to go over some features now, and if you stick around, we'll show you how to get it installed.This is going to be a hassle-free solution to get your camper level without having to do any work. This way, when you get to your campsite, you don't have to get out your level, have somebody spot you, manually adjust each one individually, double-check to make sure everything's okay, but with this it's as easy as a press of a single button. Maybe you have an air conditioner, and it's just not working efficiently enough anymore or maybe you're replacing one that's not working. Maybe you're doing what our customer did here in replacing a vent with an air conditioner in the room because the room is just not getting cool enough from their main unit. Now whether you're replacing existing air conditioner or adding a second air conditioner like our customer did here, the Atwood is going to work great for either situation. TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps Installation - 2008 Keystone Big Sky Fifth Wheel- Video
Hi there fifth wheelers. Today on your 2008 Keystone Montana Mountaineer, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install TorkLift's GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps. For comparison, here's our old steps. As you can see, there's only three steps versus our GlowSteps will have four, making it easier for you to get from the ground into your RV without having to take such a big step. Also has landing gear on it to provide more support at the end of the steps, where there's no landing gear present on our factory steps here. And then of course there's the added benefit that our GlowSteps glow in the dark, where these are just black, and they're difficult to see at night.Now right away, I can tell the difference that your new steps are much sturdier than our old steps. more

Lippert Solera Slider Slide-Topper Installation - 2019 Keystone Springdale Travel Trailer- Video
Today in our 2019 Keystone Springdale Travel Trailer, we're gonna be installing Solera Slide Topper. We'll be installing the 12 foot slider on our travel trailer here, but depending on your Springdale Travel Trailer's options, you may need a different length. So, you'll measure the length of your slide out and pick the appropriate size that will match. They're available in either black or white depending on your preference.Now, if you're working on a different trailer, you can use this video as a guide 'cause it's going to install the exact same way. This slide topper extends the entire length of your slide out, hanging off a little bit on each end to prevent any dirt, debris, and moisture from collecting up on top. That dirt, debris, and moisture that collects on top can cause damaging effects on your seals, which may in turn cause leaks inside your trailer. more

Today on our 2019 Keystone Springdale travel trailer, we'll be installing a Lippert Components Electric Ground Control TT Automatic 5-Point Travel Trailer Leveling System. These jacks will auto level your trailer with the touch of a button. You can additionally control each jack individually from the control panels on the inside on the LCD. You can raise and lower your front jack right from the front panel. You can auto level it. You can adjust your setup for your hitch height, and retract all of your jacks back in. more
